Panasonic has launched a new gift messaging service utilizing AR technology. When purchasing specific products with AR GIFT service at Panasonic Store Plus, senders can customize 3D avatars using Ready Player Me and set personalized messages. The gift recipients will receive the message along with special AR effects using the enclosed AR GIFT Card.

Purchasing specific products featuring the AR GIFT service allows customers to customize up to four 3D avatars with animations and set personalized messages. The person who receives the gift can play AR content by scanning the AR GIFT Card included with the product. Alongside special effects tailored to the product type, recipients will also receive personalized messages through the 3D avatars set by the gift giver. Through the combination of AR technology and 3D avatars, a new personalized gift experience has been realized. In addition to selecting 3D avatars from presets, users can customize them using  the cross avatar platform, Ready Player Me. Users can even create avatars resembling themselves by uploading a photo of their face.
