The XR planner is powered by AI-driven image-to-3D generation, enabling the system to fetch real-world products and assemble them into an AR scene—without relying solely on pre-built, store-provided 3D models. This prototype explores how AI-generated 3D assets, real product data, and AR visualization can work together to redefine spatial planning workflows.

Q1: What unexpected issues did you run into?

A1:

• Model size accuracy: AI-generated models may lack correct scale, so we let users input the size manually.

• Alignment issues: Orientation is not always correct, so users can adjust the items with rotation & alignment controls.

Q2: Is there anything that could be improved given more development time?

A2:

• Generation latency: Model creation can be slow.

• Scraper fragility: Website changes can break scrapers. The long-term solution requires official APIs.

• Texture fidelity: Auto-generated textures are improving but not yet perfect.
